Welcome to Humboldt Tourism

Humboldt is a thriving city of 5,765 people in the heart of Saskatchewan.  Humboldt is centrally located on the old Carlton Trail, at Hwy's 5 and 20.  The City's name originates from the German author, explorer and scientist Alexander von Humboldt.  Humboldt's downtown features beautiful German style buildings and colorful murals depicting local and regional history.  Humboldt is a four season destination with many attractions to explore, events to experience and activities to discover.

You will discover Humboldt within easy driving distance of both Saskatoon and Regina, where Saskatchewan's major airports are located. 

We are:

  • 425 miles/680 km west of Winnipeg, MB
  • 420 miles/672 km east of Edmonton, AB
  • 150 miles/219 km north of Regina, SK
  • 70 miles/113 km east of Saskatoon, SK
  • 250 miles/400 km north of the U.S. border

 Community Tourism Plan

 
A Community Tourism Plan is a document produced on behalf of a community by a group of people representing a broad cross-section of interests.  It provides a framwork for business, local government, cultural, and other organizations to analyze tourism resources and concerns, and to encourage tourism development and promotion. 

The Community Tourism Plan was first developed in 2007 and is renewed annually with the Community Tourism Plan committee and City Council.

 Humboldt Golf Club and Humboldt Summer Sizzler & Rodeo Receive Provincial Tourism Awards

The Humboldt Golf Club and the Humboldt Summer Sizzler & Rodeo were both presented with an Award of Excellence on Monday, April 21, 2021 at the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala, which was held at TCU Place in Saskatoon.

The Humboldt Golf Club is the recipient of the Business of the Year (Under 50 Full-Time Employees) award and the Humboldt Summer Sizzler & Rodeo is the recipient of the Promotional Marketing Campaign - Event or Festival (Budget Under $20,000) award. 

The Tourism Saskatchewan Awards of Excellence Gala is an extaordinary evening that celebrates excellence in the tourism industry.  There were fourteen people, representing both the Humboldt Golf Club and the Humboldt Summer Sizzler & Rodeo, who attended the Gala and shared the excitement of the evening.  The Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala was a part of HOST Saskatchewan - a Hospitality, Outfitters & Tourism Conference and Trade Show.

Humboldt Visitor Information Centre
Humboldt's Visitor Information Centre is located at the east entrance to Humboldt on Highway 5. The Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce operates the Information Centre as well as the adjacent Historical Park and Campground.

The Centre provides visitors with information about Humboldt, area attractions and includes a mini-golf course. It also houses the offices of the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce. Phone (306) 682-4990 for campground reservations.
