Humboldt & District are served by one pre-school, three elementary schools and one highschool.  The pre-school (Humboldt Co-operative Pre-school) is offered for children 3 - 5 years of age.  Humboldt has three elemetary schools; two being Catholic (St. Augustine & St. Dominic) and one being public (Humboldt Public School).  The highschool (Humboldt Collegiate Institute) is also a public school serving residents in the Humboldt & district area.

Post secondary education is also provided in the community.  Carlton Trail Regional College serves a wide area from its headquarters in Humboldt.  St. Peter's College offers University of Saskatchewan classes to first & secondy year students.  It has been a centre of excellence in education for nearly a century.

Carlton Trail Regional College

Carlton Trail Regional College (CTRC), with its head office located in Humboldt, is one of nine regional colleges in the province. The College has regional offices and campuses located in Davidson, Southey, Watrous, and Wynyard.

Since 1973, Saskatchewan's regional colleges have been meeting the needs of people and communities throughout the province, providing the opportunity to access post-secondary education and training right in their own community.

Each year, Carlton Trail Regional College delivers programs to more than 5,500 students in over 50 communities.  Some of the programs offered are:

St. Peter's College

St. Peters College is an exceptional facility that offers courses for first and second year university education to students from around the province, the nation, and the globe. The college fosters academic excellence while promoting a healthy and vital lifestyle. It maintains small class sizes to ensure that students receive the finest instruction. All the students have access to the latest advances in technology through a highly qualified IT department. 

Founded in the Catholic Benedictine tradition of mentorship and hospitality, St. Peter’s is affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan and offers fully accredited courses towards a variety of programs, including:
