Health Services
Humboldt is part of the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority. Within Humboldt there are 9 physicians, 3 dentists, 1 orthodontist, 2 optometrists and 5 chiropractors. The St. Elizabeth Hospital has a capacity of 45 beds. The doctors on staff provide general medicine and surgery services. Other services provided at the hospital include laboratory, radiology, physiotherapy, palliative care, dietary counseling, cardiology, obstetrics, urology, gynecology, internal medicine, neurology, roomotology, ear/nose/throat specialists, and geriatric services. Presently the St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation is raising money for the construction of a new hospital.
St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home is a 101 bed facility which was built in 1963 with a new addition in 1978. The Villa provides Level III and Level IV care for senior citizens. In 1991, the heavy care facility underwent a $3.8 million addition and renovation. There are also 13 enriched housing units at the St. Mary's Villa.
