CALL TO ORDER:

Mayor Dennis Korte called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE � TOURIST BOOTH CONTRACT:

Tuchscherer/Weyland

That the request from the Humboldt & District Chamber of Commerce to increase the Tourist Booth Contract by five percent in 2004 and three percent for the next four years be referred to the 2004 Budget deliberations.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE � ELECTRICAL UPGRADE AT HISTORICAL PARK:

Weyland/Cash

That the letter from the Humboldt & District Chamber of Commerce requesting that the City contribute seventy-five percent of all costs for the electrical upgrade at the Historical Park be referred to the Leisure Services Committee for further review and recommendation.

COMMUNITY EVENTS PERMIT � HUMBOLDT JAYCEES:

That we approve the application from the Humboldt Jaycees for a community events liquor permit for the Demolition Derby to take place in Centennial Park on June 8, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight.

Mayor Dennis Korte and Councillor Leon Doepker declared a pecuniary interest in the following matter and left the Council Chambers at 7:58 p.m.

That cheque number 17376 payable to Graphic Arts Printing in the amount of $16.07 and cheque number 17377 payable to True Value in the amount of $175.47 be approved for payment.

Resolved that Bylaw No. 15/2003, being a bylaw to amend the Traffic Bylaw, be introduced and read a first time.

WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT � AWARD OF TENDER:

That the tender for the 2003 Water Main Replacement Program for the City of Humboldt be awarded to McIntyre Construction for the low bid of $224,480.00 plus GST.

That Councillor Jerry Weyland be authorized to obtain a price quote for four entrance signs to read:

DANDELION SPRAYING:

Councillor Henry Hauber and other members of Council have been receiving complaints regarding the dandelions on City-owned properties.Council requested further information regarding the City�s policy on dandelion spraying and indicated that any City lots that are overgrown with dandelions be cut as soon as possible.
