That the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held

April 25, 2021 be approved as recorded and circulated.

Ms. Marilyn Harvey, Mr. Henry Skjerveren and Mr. Darryl Skjerveren of Yellowhead Natural Beef were in attendance at the meeting to make a presentation regarding their proposal to locate a small slaughter and processing facility near Humboldt.

 

Mr. Skjerveren indicated that his company will be sending out a request for proposals to interested Towns, Cities and Municipalities in late July.

 

Mayor Dennis Korte thanked the delegation for attending the meeting.

That we approve the request of the City of Humboldt�s Tourism Department to have the Mayor declare the week of May 29 to June 4, 2021 as Tourism Awareness Week in Humboldt.

That we approve the request from Sarcan Recycling to collect used paint cans and electronics at their depot located at 629-2nd Street as their depot is located in the Industrial Zoning District and is in compliance with the City�s Zoning Bylaw regulations.
