CITY OF HUMBOLDT SEEKS ASSISTANCE THROUGH PDAP
City Council at its Regular Meeting on Monday June 14, 2010 has passed a resolution to apply through
the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) to the Minister of Corrections, Public Safety and
Policing for financial assistance to restore essential services, both public and private.
Mayor Malcolm Eaton stated, “We have seen an incredible amount of rainfall since April 13, amounts
that are putting our community under immense stress. The damages to private property and municipal
services are significant and it is to the point that our community is facing serious problems as a result
of the extreme rainfall amounts.
The Humboldt area has seen far above average rainfall and coupled with an already high water table
the effects are dramatic.
The PDAP program covers certain types of loses and more information about the program can be found
at http://www.cpsp.gov.sk.ca.
Please find attached the application form.
