Back Yard Pick-up Compost Collection Program
Posted May 15, 2013

Residents are advised that the Back Yard Pick-up Compost Collection Program will begin May 22, 2013.  The program will pick up grass clippings, leaves, garden refuse and small twigs.  Items must be piled loose or packaged in clear plastic bags and cannot be mixed with other household garbage.  Large twigs and branches are to be placed in a separate pile.  The program completes a full-pick-up cycle of the community every 4-to-6 weeks.  For more information, view the program brochure or contact the Community & Leisure Services Department at (306) 682-2597.  Residents interested in composting may take advantage of the City's Composting Bin Rebate; further information about how to properly create home composting can be found on the Compost Council of Canada's website.
