4th Avenue Water Main Replacement Project Posted May 31, 2013 - Updated June 17, 2013 The public is advised that the City will be working on replacing the water main on 4th Avenue, from Main Street to 12th Street. This project will begin in June and is anticipated to take around six weeks to complete. During this time, 4th Avenue will be closed periodically to allow for construction activities. Please watch for signage or click here to access the detour route that will be used to direct traffic around the work site. Thank you for your patience as we improve Humboldt's infrastructure.
Humboldt Kids Summer Fun Camp Registration Now Open Posted June 6, 2013 The 2013 Humboldt Kids Summer Fun Camp is now accepting applications! The Summer Fun theme is Munsch'n Up, with camp activities centered on some of the much-loved books by children's author Robert Munsch. Back Yard Pick-up Compost Collection Program Posted May 15, 2013 Residents are advised that the Back Yard Pick-up Compost Collection Program will begin May 22, 2013. The program will pick up grass clippings, leaves, garden refuse and small twigs. Items must be piled loose or packaged in clear plastic bags and cannot be mixed with other household garbage. Large twigs and branches are to be placed in a separate pile. The program completes a full-pick-up cycle of the community every 4-to-6 weeks. Residents interested in composting may take advantage of the City's Composting Bin Rebate; further information about how to properly create home composting can be found on the Compost Council of Canada's website.

Municipal Infrastructure Conference April 24 & 25, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 - Updated April 30, 2013 On April 24 & 25, Humboldt successfully hosted the first-ever conference dedicated to municipal infrastructure issues affecting communities 40,000 or less. Bringing together over 200 municipal, government and industry delegates along with associated organizations, the conference brought presentations and best practice ideas forward on topics such as asset management, financial and long-term planning, growth, renewal and innovation. Minister of Government Relations James Reiter, joined in this photo by Mayor Malcolm Eaton, Chair of the Conference Steering Committee, addressed conference attendees during the event and highlighted how investment in infrastructure is a key component of the Saskatchewan Plan For Growth.
